Seedance 2.5 in Cursor: MCP connection status
Connection status — 15 September 2026: First-time OAuth with StoryStudio in Cursor has not yet been validated end to end. StoryStudio responded in an existing Claude session on this date; that test did not validate a first OAuth connection from a new account, or a connection in Cursor or Claude Code.

Why Seedance 2.5 for high-resolution work
StoryStudio caps Seedance 2.5 at 1080p (Full HD). Consider that resolution for product close-ups, architectural shots or fine textures, and check the generated result at the size you plan to use. StoryStudio does not offer a 4K tier for Seedance.
Before trying the connection in Cursor
Use the StoryStudio connection section to find the MCP endpoint. If you try adding it to Cursor, check that authorization completes and that StoryStudio's tools appear before relying on the connection. Adding the endpoint alone does not confirm that the full workflow works.
Once you have verified the connection, a test brief could be: "Use Seedance 2.5 to generate a 1080p product close-up, slow orbit, cool rim light." Specify the model and resolution explicitly, then check that generation completes and that you can retrieve the result.
Seedance defaults and cost
Seedance defaults to 480p unless you ask for HD or Full HD explicitly. Credit cost depends on resolution and duration; review the estimate before generating and consult StoryStudio's pricing. There is no 4K tier, StoryStudio caps Seedance at 1080p. Only ask for 1080p when the shot needs it.
