Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the StoryStudio platform at storystudio.cc, operated by BFC GROUP ("we", "the Provider"). They combine the conditions of use of the service and the conditions of sale of credits and subscriptions. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these Terms.

1. Provider

2. The service

StoryStudio is an AI-assisted platform for creating images and video from prompts and reference materials, with project and publishing tools. The service is provided "as is" and may evolve. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that a given AI model or feature will remain available.

3. Account and eligibility

StoryStudio is currently offered to professional users only (B2B). By creating an account, you represent that you are acting for purposes within your trade, business, craft or profession, and not as a consumer. If you are acting on behalf of a company, you represent that you are authorised to bind it to these Terms.

You must provide accurate account information and be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your country). You are responsible for the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use StoryStudio to create or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, hateful, sexually exploitative of minors, or that violates third-party rights. You are solely responsible for your prompts, uploads and generated outputs, and for how you use or publish them. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

5. AI generation and third-party models

Content is generated using third-party AI models (including providers such as Google, Replicate, ByteDance/BytePlus, fal.ai, ElevenLabs). Outputs may be imperfect, may resemble other outputs, and are provided without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. Your use of generated content must comply with the underlying model providers' terms and applicable law.

6. Ownership and use of generated content

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and full payment of any amounts due, we do not claim ownership of the content you generate. You retain any rights you may hold in it and may use it for personal and commercial purposes, to the extent permitted by the licences and terms of the underlying AI model providers (which, depending on the model used, may include Google, OpenAI, Black Forest Labs, Stability AI, ByteDance / BytePlus, Kuaishou / Kling, MiniMax and ElevenLabs).

You are responsible for checking and complying with any model-specific restrictions, in particular for models whose commercial use is conditional (for example Stability AI models, which may require a separate licence above certain revenue thresholds) or whose commercial output terms are limited or unclear. Because purely AI-generated works may not be eligible for copyright protection in some jurisdictions, we make no warranty that generated content is protectable or free of third-party rights.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process and display your content solely to operate and provide the service. We may use anonymised or aggregated data to improve the service.

Promotion. We will not use your generated content for our own marketing, promotion, showcase or demos unless you expressly opt in (for example via a "feature my creation" setting). You may withdraw this permission at any time for future use.

7. Credits, subscriptions and prices

The service is offered through credits (pay-as-you-go) and/or monthly subscriptions, billed via Stripe Checkout. Current prices are shown on our pricing page before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.

8. Right of withdrawal

As StoryStudio is offered to professional users acting for business purposes (see Section 3), the statutory 14-day withdrawal right for distance purchases (Article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code) does not apply. At checkout, you must tick a mandatory box acknowledging these Terms; by purchasing credits or a subscription and starting to use the service, you expressly request immediate performance. If, notwithstanding your representation under Section 3, you are nonetheless found to be a consumer under applicable law, you acknowledge that StoryStudio provides digital content and services supplied immediately, and that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun / the digital content has been supplied (Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code).

9. Refunds

Except where required by mandatory law, unused credits and subscription fees for the current period are non-refundable once performance has begun. Nothing in these Terms limits the statutory legal guarantees available to consumers.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the event. We are not liable for indirect damage (loss of profit, data, or opportunity), nor for your use of generated content. Mandatory consumer protections are unaffected.

11. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or legal requirements. On termination, your right to use the service ends; provisions on liability, IP and governing law survive.

12. Personal data

We process personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by French law. As StoryStudio is offered to professional users (see Section 3), the statutory consumer-mediation scheme does not apply to disputes arising from these Terms.

Before any dispute, you can contact us at [email protected]. Failing amicable resolution, the competent courts are those provided by applicable law. If you are nonetheless found to be a consumer under applicable law, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of your country of residence and may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Changes

We may amend these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by e-mail. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
